Get ready for Supercharge New York! Celebrating our Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy

We are thrilled to share that The Clean Fight has received a generous grant of $992,970 from the Department of Energy (DOE) as part of its Energy Program for Innovation Clusters (EPIC). The EPIC Awards aim to strengthen the innovation ecosystem development around the United States, so this funding will help us contribute to new innovations that will enable the country to reach its 2050 net-zero goals. The funds will be used to create Supercharge NY, a first-of-its-kind energy innovation cluster that will position New York State in a leadership position in the rapidly expanding field of next generation energy storage hardware and accelerate innovation, and research & development, across New York’s energy storage manufacturing industry.

A joint project with The New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium

(NY-BEST) and State University of New York Research Foundation (SUNY-RF), Supercharge NY will invite applicants from across the world to propose how they will grow their energy storage company in New York, leveraging New York resources.

In 2022, we will run an energy storage hardware cohort to recruit best-in-class growth-stage energy storage hardware companies and match them with New York customers, investors, supply chain and manufacturing partners. During the program, NY-BEST will provide its resources and networks to advance the cohort’s commercial readiness and SUNY-RF will provide lab space and facilities for cohort companies.
