Description

Yotta Block (YB-1) is a 1 kWh distributed energy storage module that integrates behind photovoltaic modules on commercial rooftops. DPI-208 and DPI-480 are native 3-phase for 208V or 480V grid connection. They support up to four high-capacity PV modules, can be used for solar-only or solar-plus-storage applications, and integrate with Yotta Block. Yotta Vision EMS is a software platform for EPCs and facilities managers to deploy, remotely monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain Yotta energy systems in real time, including load control, battery storage, solar, generators, and EV charging technologies. It supports demand-charge reduction and utility-cost reduction through time-of-use and peak-shaving strategies.

Key Differentiators

- First modular solar battery that integrates behind rooftop solar panels - Distributed storage behind PV modules rather than dedicated battery storage space - Retrofittable, plug-and-play architecture; modular scaling in 1 kWh increments - Designed to reduce soft costs and variable EPC costs relative to centralized storage approaches - Low-voltage design; passive thermal regulation - Microinverter can be used for solar-only or solar-plus-storage at a price stated as equivalent to string inverters.

Use Cases

explore demand response or Virtual Power Plants to reduce utility costs, install solar panels and/or energy storage/ batteries, electrify your building, reduce building energy/ utility costs

Cost Savings

- Reduces upfront project costs through a plug-and-play design that avoids additional infrastructure and lowers installation and soft costs compared to traditional storage systems - Lowers utility costs by storing excess solar energy and using it during peak periods, reducing demand charges and reliance on grid electricity - Improves energy utilization by capturing and using on-site solar that would otherwise be curtailed - Enables ongoing savings through peak-shaving strategies supported by Yotta Vision - Reduces long-term operating costs through a modular, distributed, low-voltage design that simplifies maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizes downtime

Operational Emissions

- Maximizes the amount of solar energy a building can actually use, rather than wasting or exporting it inefficiently; - Enables more solar to be installed behind existing grid contraints (via higher DC:AC ratios), accelerating renewable deployment without waiting for interconnection upgrades.

Data + Performance

Yotta Vision provides system-level and module-level visibility across the solar and storage system, enabling real-time remote monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting. It tracks performance at the solar module and microinverter level, displays system output over time, and sends alerts on performance issues or events.
