Catalyzing The Deployment Decade

The Clean Fight, Builders Vision and Breakthrough Energy, with support from Turner Construction have created the Deployment Grant Fund, leveraging small-dollar catalytic capital to scale clean, resilient solutions for communities across America.

We hope you’ll join us.

The Opportunity

The good news is that the majority of the solutions we need to realize a cleaner, more resilient future are ready for commercial scaling. However, they are not being adopted quickly enough.

Through our work at The Clean Fight, we’ve proven that small-dollar grants can have an outsized impact catalyzing the adoption of innovative climate solutions. By de-risking initial installations, these grants can transform a first deployment into the first-of-many. Yet, this type of catalytic capital is largely unavailable in the market.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Builders Vision, Breakthrough Energy and Turner Construction to create a new Deployment Grant Fund to help provide the impact of this critical, missing capital. We’ll be supporting the installation of solutions that can reduce emissions from buildings across America. But as importantly, solutions that improve people’s lives. That drive down costs, create new jobs, and make homes and offices safer, healthier, and more productive—places where people work better, breathe easier, and feel more secure.

If you’re interested in learning about joining as a funder, or have a project and want to learn about our eligible technologies, please connect with us.

“This is the moment to ensure that critical climate technologies don’t just sit on the sidelines, and instead get into buildings to improve people’s lives, making homes and offices healthier, safer, and more productive.”

Our Impact
in Numbers

The Clean Fight has successfully piloted a catalytic capital model across the built environment in New York State using public funds, and are now well-positioned to support projects nationally, with a focus on “first-of-many” deployments. Now’s the time to double down and scale.

Why Buildings?

  • Decarbonized buildings improve people’s lives. They make homes and offices places where people work better, breathe easier, and feel more secure. They drive down costs and create new jobs.

  • Buildings are responsible for more than a third of the country’s GHG emissions. They are the largest sector for emissions in the U.S. when accounting for energy generation for real estate, transmission, embodied materials, and heating & cooling.

  • Buildings are where existing technologies will lead decarbonization. Decarbonizing buildings is possible with existing technologies. Deployment is the main challenge. A key element is often the lack of fit-for-purpose capital.

  • The Clean Fight has deep experience catalyzing building decarbonization. We have successfully piloted our catalytic capital model across the built environment in New York State using public funds, and are well-positioned to support projects nationally.
